Prepositions of Place in Spanish


In Spanish, prepositions of place are used to indicate the location of people, places or things. They are always followed by an object, a noun or pronoun.

Example:

Spanish Al and Del

There are two contractions of prepositions with the use of definite articles:
a + el = al
de + el del

Yo voy al supermercado. (instead of yo voy a el supermercado)
Mi casa está al lado del parque. (instead of Mi casa está a el lado de el parque)
